Welcome! As part of your reservation, a Property Damage Waiver (PDW) has been included to simplify your stay and protect against accidental damage. This waiver offers peace of mind during your time in the home and helps us maintain the quality of our properties. Please take a moment to review the details below so you know what’s covered, what’s not, and how to report any issues during your stay.

What is the Property Damage Waiver?

  • The PDW is a non-refundable fee that covers up to $500 in accidental damage during your stay.
  • It replaces the need for a large damage deposit.
  • Not insurance and not liability coverage.
  • Only valid during your reservation period.

What is Covered?

  • Accidental damage to durable items in good condition (e.g., spilled wine on carpet, broken dish).
  • Damage must be reported within 24 hours for coverage to apply.

What is NOT Covered? The guest remains liable for damages resulting from:

  • Normal wear or malfunction (e.g., coffee maker just stops working).
  • Intentional acts, negligence, or false rental info.
  • Failing to secure the property.
  • Theft without a police report and notice within 24 hours.
  • Damage from pets or smoking.
  • Tampering with smoke/CO detectors.
  • Unreported damage found after checkout.
  • Excessive trash or cleaning needed after departure.

Important Notes:

  • Gorge Living, Inc. determines the nature of damage and coverage eligibility.
  • Damages not covered or exceeding $500 will be charged to the guest’s credit card per the rental agreement.
